book fair aftermath … this is what happened when at the end we were told, “just take whatever you want for free”. 20 BOXES OF BOOKS CAME HOME WITH ME. this is after i purchased a full 1st edition 6 volume set of virginia woolf’s letters for 10.00; gone with the wind special edition in a slipcase; first paperback of salinger’s 9 stories, james purdy, t.s. eliot, iris murdoch, a full box of others all for a few dollars more. which is perfect because i’m meant to be packing up to move and “paring down”. um.
